addressing things and bringing them into the light

the e word

This issue had been discussed plenty of times, and arguments have been made from person to person talking about how sad it's going to make them or how they're envisioning concerts without them but that is not the way you're going to gain any attention online.

This question had been asked several times in their career, specifically to Seokjin, and his response is simple, respectful, and knocks the head of the nail perfectly

“As a Korean, it’s natural. And, someday, when duty calls, we’ll be ready to respond and do our best,”

People want to normalize talking about this, but also have to be considerate of what other people online would feel upon seeing these words. Seokjin himself had even said he didn't like talking about this, so who are we to force the topic upon someone who does not want to talk about it?

This does not mean you refrain from talking about it, but at least gain the empathy and mindset of being sensitive enough to not talk about it merely for an engagement and 15 minutes of fame.

his dancing skills

BTS Members have always been sure to praise Seokjin on his skills and determination to perfect a routine that had been taught to them for any performance. They understand and are able to laugh and talk about this with Seokjin because they have been through it together, facing the hardships themselves to pass it off as something they'd laugh off in the following years to come.

But not the fans.

Deteriorating his self esteem by pointing him out in every interview that aims to make someone's efforts irrelevant is not the joke you want it to be, especially if you are an international fan and don't know much of the language and how deep wounds cut with words you translated only from an app. Instead of this, why not try to appreciate the hard work he puts in for not only dancing but his performance overall.

his acting career

Graduating from a prestigious acting school surely gives fans the idea that Seokjin would be offered an acting role in the drama industry, considering as well his outstanding performances in music videos, vcrs, and skits from Run BTS. Yet seven years into his career this hasn't happened, and it would be a natural response to question this motive to the company.

Seokjin had mentioned in his biography back then that he would like to focus on BTS and music first, mentioning this as well in an interview from a few years back. But on the same biography he also mentioned that he would "Like to act if the opportunity came", along with spreading here and there in also recent tv and magazine interviews that he wanted to be an actor growing up.

People are not to say or put any thoughts or words into his mouth regarding this issue, claiming that 'he wants this' or 'he said this!'. As fans, the least anyone could do is support him along the way. Harmless claims and assumptions from a few people on the internet should not be the source of quarrels towards bigger things.
